Hi again Curt and hello to everyone receiving this email.

Bro. Curt
Hi again Curt and hello to everyone receiving this email.
I am Dennis Souther, one of the team members from NC. Curt called me last week and we talked at length about the upcoming Congo trip. As Curt states in this email, there are three people on our team and we are committed to making the mission trip and look forward to meeting and working with your team from LA.
I want to respond to this email for two reasons. One to give Curt and the other team members the email addresses of the other members and also to introduce our team members.
I am Dennis Souther from Albemarle, NC and our team members are from Pleasant Grove Baptist in Oakboro, a very small town about 30 or so miles northeast of Charlotte. The other members are my 22-year-old daughter Lauren Souther, who is in her last semester at Pfeiffer University, and Mike Hatley, a young man with a wife and two elementary school-aged daughters. Lauren and I were Congo in August 2008 and had a wonderful trip. Lauren also was able to make a mission trip to South Africa last summer. This will be Mike's first mission trip.
I'll use the blog to communicate but I did want to respond to everyone and to encourage you to listen to God's calling. Especially to any of the young women who are thinking about this trip, I'm sure it is fine for me share Lauren's email and to encourage you to contact her about Congo and her experiences. She is more than willing to share. Lauren's email is lauren_8717@yahoo.com. Mike's email is hatley4@ctc.net.
You'll hear more of us in the coming days and weeks. We are planning that our teams will meet in Washington and take the same flight to Congo.
We're praying for everyone.
Dennis

Thanks for posting the email Curt. I am excited about the trip.
I am so excited and thankful that my life, this wonderful journey God has sent me on, is leading us back into Congo! Africa is constantly in my thoughts and prayers. Please feel free to contact me anytime...I am counting down the days until my feet hit the ground in Congo and I can see the place and people that I love so much!
Pray for Robert and Emily Krause and their one-year-old son Ben. The Krause family will leave on May 27th, one day before our trip, and move to rural South Africa to serve as full-time missionaries to the Zulu people.
Robert and Emily have served in Congo and know well the area we are visiting. Robert lived for nearly two years in Bukavu, DRC with a pastor's family. Emily spent several months with the pastor's family. I hope that the Krauses can join us in this blog and give all of us some words of experience and some encouragement.
One other thing! I gave an incorrect email for Mike Hatley. His address is mhatley4@ctc.net.
If a team member or a parent would like to contact me, my address is dsouther@carolina.rr.com.
